Just about everyone has a childhood memory. Some have good memories, others have not so nice memories. But everyone usually has some interesting memories.

Comedian Ali remembers his childhood and reveals that during those days he was part of Jitmohan Mitra’s orchestra troupe. He says since orchestras were popular during the 1980s, Mitra’s troupe would tour a lot of places and Ali would dance during their performances he says.

Apparently, Ali was 12 years old during those days and when he danced for NTR numbers, people would throw Rs 1 or Rs 2 on to the stage, he says. As soon as he finished dancing, he would quickly collect the coins and people would laugh at him, he says.

Since the orchestra never paid him any money, whatever he collected on stage was his remuneration he recollects. He reveals that in 1983, a film ticket cost 75 paise and he would get meals for Rs 1.50. Ali has come a long way since then, but he still cherishes the childhood memories.
