2014 has been a mixed luck for the Telugu filmmakers. Big budget films failed to entertain the audience and more importantly, most of the high budget films were of the same format (Comedy + Action).

Based on the box-office performance, we have picked our list of 'Top 10 Tollywood Films’ for the year 2014.

Race Gurram (GA Rating 3.25/5)
This was a do-or-die film for Surender Reddy and Allu Arjun has come up with another energetic performance in ‘Race Gurram’. Brahmanandam’s comedy, Shruti Haasan’s glamour and Thaman’s music made the magic and Race Gurram ended up being the highest grosser of Tollywood in 2014.

Manam (GA Rating 4/5)
Telugu audience got a chance to watch their favourite and legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao in ‘Manam’ for one last time. Everyone thought that ‘Manam’ will be a hit at the box-office as all the 3 generations of Akkineni family have come together for the first time. But, Vikram Kumar made this even more special with a wonderful script.

Legend (GA Rating 3/5)
Boyapati Srinu has one again proved that he is capable of delivering a super hit with a star hero. Balakrishna proved his stamina at the box-office with this pure mass entertainer and 'Legend' went on to collect close to 50 crores and became the highest grosser in Balayya’s career.

Yevadu (GA Rating 3/5)
After a long time, Tollywood witnessed a film that has some complicated story. Though Vamsi Paidipally added lot of commercial elements to ‘Yevadu’, this film was appreciated for its theme.

Loukhyam (GA Rating 3/5)
Action hero Gopichand understood the requirements of Telugu audience and came up with a comedy entertainer. ‘Loukhyam’ was a much-needed hit for Gopichand and the actor changed his future game plan after the success of this film.

Drushyam (GA Rating 3.25/5)
This is one of the best films of 2014 featuring Venkatesh and Meena. Drushyam is a remake of Malayalam film which had Mohan Lal in the lead role. Venkatesh has delivered one of his best performances and the film had a decent run at the box-office.

Run Raja Run (GA Rating 3.25/5)
Technically, Sharwanand tasted his first success with ‘Run Raja Run’. Young director Sujeeth made an impressive debut along with music director Gibran.

Karthikeya (GA Rating 3.25/5)
Success of ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ made Nikhil become choosy about the scripts. This is one of the reasons why he waited for some time and came up with ‘Karthikeya’. Chandoo Mondeti made his debut as a director with this film & Nikhil-Swathi combination proved to lucky once again with ‘Karthikeya’.

Geethanjali (GA Rating 2.5/5)
Shot in a limited budget, ‘Geethanjali’ was a surprise hit at the box-office. Apart from Anjali, there were no notable names in the film and ‘Geetanjali’ proved once again that content is bigger than anything else.

Power (GA Rating 3/5)
Mass Maharaja maintained his success streak with ‘Power’. Though there is nothing new in this film, Ravi Teja’s performance and Thaman’s music have pulled the crowds into the theaters.

These are our picks for the year 2014. Srinivas Avasarala's 'Oohalu Gusagusalade' and Maruti's 'Kotha Janta' were also successful at the box-office, but they were not able to find a place in our list.
