Performance:

Sonam Kapoor looks beautiful and she has improved a lot acting wise. Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma entertained the audiences very well and the dance number by Rajkummar is outstanding. Pulkit Sharma looks handsome and his Haryanvi accent is excellent.

Plus Points:

The major plus point of Dolly Ki Doli is its duration, the movie runs about only 100 minutes. There is no chance of getting bored as the film starts and finishes within a small time space. The movie is quite interesting.

Minus Points:

The second half of the film is ridiculous and the story eventually loses its grip. The climax is silly and predictable. Characters Rajkkumar, Varun and Zeeshan are completely wasted in the film as there is no scope for acting. Saif’s cameo is wasted completely.

Technical aspects:

Director Abhishek Dogra couldn’t manage to entertain his audience throughout the movie. It was only in the first half that the interest factor was alive, the second half completely lowered the bar and the interest went aloof due to the confusing and weird screenplay.

Cinematography by Saurabh Goswami is okay, while the editing by Hemal Kothari is not up to the mark. The songs are fine, especially Malliaka’s item number, and are placed well in the plot.

Verdict:

On a whole, Dolly Ki Doli is a decent one time watch because of its entertaining first half and decent performances by the cast.
