The big wigs of Telangana film fraternity have met Commercial Taxes and Cinematography minister for Telangana Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Friday. The objective of meeting was to discuss on the survival of cinema industry in the new state. Telangana Cinema Producers Council president Sana Yadireddy appealed to minister to give prominence to the Telangana actors, directors, technicians, producers in the Telangana film industry. They also briefed the minister about problems that holding back Telangana film industry and necessary steps to be taken.
However, minister Talasani stated that chief minister KCR and he have complete knowledge on the prevailing conditioins in the film industry and told them that CM KCR would soon call the Telangana Film Fraternity for a separate meeting to discuss on various important issues and after which he would call for joint meeting with Telugu Film Fraternity from Andhra Pradesh. Award-winning director Allani Sreedhar apparently complained to minister that Telangana artistes, technicians are yet to get "freedom" although the new Telangana state is formed.
