Poor Varun Sandesh, as it is he is having a tough time to even manage an average hit and this week, he decided to take on the big release of the month Temper. If Temper was released on February 13, Varun Sandesh’s Paddanandi Premalo released on Valentine’ Day on February 14.
Surprisingly, he did manage to get positive talk that his performance in the film is way better than his earlier films. But the people did not find it reason enough to spend time in theatres on lovers’ day. The theatres were totally vacant on Saturday and the situation was worse on Sunday thanks to the World Cup match between India and Pakistan.
Wrong planning cost him dearly this time. It is more painful to Varun Sandesh as there is common opinion that had the film released on a day when there were no other films, he would have had an average hit.
It would have also meant at least half the returns on investment. But looks like his film-makers underestimated the stamina of NTR and it proved disastrous to Varun Sandesh. Wonder if he will ever manage a hit once again?
