National Award-winning actress Shweta Basu Prasad has had a tough time last year with prostitution controversy. The child star-turned actress, who was embroiled in false charges of prostitution last year, is back on track as far as her career is concerned.
Shweta is now set to make her Kannada film debut with 'Devravne Budu Guru', where she'll play the role of an investigative journalist. The film also stars Akul Balaji, winner of second season of Bigg Boss Kannada.
Previously known for her roles in the daily soaps 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki' and 'Karishma Kaa Karishma', Shweta was also seen in Bollywood in films like 'Darna Zaroori Hai' and 'Iqbal'.
