Samantha has bagged a plum project in Tamil. She will be pairing up with actor Vijay again. Reports have it that Nayantara was initially cast as female lead but Nayan walked out of the project in the last minute citing date issues. With this, Vijay said to have recommended Samantha's name to which the actress given her nod instantly. Given that previous film of Vijay-Sam's Kathi was big hit, Vijay reportedly suggested Sam's name.
This is not all. The film will also see "I" beauty Amy Jackson in another female lead. Amy was earlier seen in Ram Charan-Shruti Haasan's Yevadu and subsequently in Shankar's I.
After opting out of Bangalore Days remake, Samantha landed up in Vijay's film. The actress is happy with the big offers coming in her way.
