Apparently, there was a time when she tried her best to make him part of her life. But since he was already married to Jaya Bachchan and since he was a father of two children, Rekha and Amitabh did not choose to take their story any further.
Sources in Bollywood say that Rekha was well-accepted in Amitabh Bachchan’s household, but they never tied the knot owing to societal pressure.
But late Gemini Ganeshan’s daughter who made it really big in Hindi cinema during the late ’70s and ’80s, transformed herself from a dark, large size to a beautiful diva who is considered to be one of the iconic leading ladies of Indian cinema.
No matter what happened between them, Rekha confesses that her love for Amitabh Bachchan will not die as he is truly one of his kind. “I know he is married. But there is no other man like him in this world,” says Rekha.
