We had already reported that Jayasudha will be contesting for the Movie Artistes’ Association’s president post this year.
Given that it is a rather prestigious post which was held by Murali Mohan in the past, the competition is tough and she will have to fight it out with Rajendra Prasad to make it.
However, the latest talk in Film Nagar is that ex MLA and actress Jayasudha has been getting calls from political leaders to get out of the fray.
She even made a statement to this affect saying that some politicians had called her asking her to withdraw her nomination. Meanwhile Jayasudha maintains that she took up the challenge as she felt that a woman president will be as good as a male president.
Incidentally, Jayasudha is being supported by TDP MP Murali Mohan and BJP ex union minister Krishnam Raju.
Despite making the statement, Jayasudha refrained from taking any names of politicians who called her.
