Super success of Mahesh Babu's 'Dookudu' pushed the Ram Achanta, Gopi and Anil Sunkara to work back to back with the Superstar after starting their career with 'Namo Venkatesa'. 14 Reels Entertainment is their banner and they have tasted flops with Mahesh later but scored a hit in their Kannada debut. They remade Dookudu with Powerstar Puneet Rajkumar as 'Power'.
The other day it is Puneet Rajkumar celebrated his 40th birthday and on that eve, 14 Reels declared their Production No. 9 with the Sandalwood star. Like they worked with Mahesh back-to-back, same formula is being applied to Puneet it seems. Amusing thing is that, 14 Reels Entertainment is making their 7th movie with Hero Nani with Andala Rakshasi fame Hanu Raghavapudi as director and now they announced their ninth movie. What is their 8th film anyway? It's missing!!
Till date 14 Reels has produced Namo Venkatesa, Dookudu, 1 Nenokkadine, Legend, Power (Kannada) and Aagadu. Earlier from 2010 they are into movie distribution as they used to buy Krishna district or overseas rights.
