With a decade long movement, the people of Telangana have fulfilled their wish of separate state for Telangana. With that, Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated and AP was left with no capital city or funds to develop one. The assurance from previous and present central governments look like a big joke and everyone is concerned about the future of AP now.
Tollywood hero Shivaji has been vocal about many burning issues from the last couple of years and he has expressed his disappointment over the BJP government's negligence at a special meeting today! He has raised the issues of Backwardness of Rayalaseema, Special Status, Capital City, Polavaram Project, etc.
"Rayalaseema neither has abundant water resources nor cultivation lands. With so much of unemployment in the region, industrialization is the only source for development. And with the central government's delay in giving Special Status for AP, this will be the most effected region in the long run. This delay might lead to hunger deaths and eventually will re-start the faction trend here. I urge our prime minister Modi to keep his promises of Special Status and even the recently announced BHEL project at Mannavaram," said Shivaji.
"A civil war will start and we will fight among ourselves for the resources and this was already said by our Pawan Kalyan last month," the actor said. He promised that he will be fighting towards attaining the special status for newly formed state. "I will go to any extent to make this happen and i'm even ready to sacrifice myself for this useful cause," said Shivaji.
We need to see if the 'High Command' of BJP listens to one of their politician-turned-actors and move towards the development of Andhra Pradesh.
