In a startling revelation, senior actress and BJP politician Kirron Kher who is quite known for her outspoken attitude has created a minor storm with her comments. In an interview given to a leading news daily, Kirron said that Bollywood is filled with gays who pretend to be straight.
Kirron Kher has always been a faithful supporter of the LGBT community and is considered the face of LGBT movement in India. While popular filmmakers like Karan Johar and Onir are open about their gay orientation, there are numerous actors, directors and several other well known technicians still unsure about stating their sexual orientation.
Kirron also says that our present education system must be revamped to help students and normal people get awareness about the medical and scientific history of homosexuality. The firebrand actress also opines that the stereotypes and taboos regarding gay community must be eradicated and that homosexuals have their choice in deciding their sexual choices.
