Dasari Narayana Rao is senior most actor and director in the Telugu Film Industry. Hence, the people in the industry respect him for his seniority and his vast experience. But, his regime as union minsiter has tarnished his reputation after his name was surfaced in the coal scam.
Few months back Enforcement Directorate has filed a case against him under money laundering act. Dasari Narayana Rao was questioned by CBI sleuths in a case related to coal scam and CBI has reportedly found that he has accepted Rs.2.25 crores bribe from Jindal group company for allocating coal blocks to it.
The veteran filmmaker now found himself in trouble when CBI filed chargesheet against him along with Naveen Jindal, Ex Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda and others. On Wednesday CBI files charge sheet against industrialist Naveen Jindal and 14 others in Amarkonda Murgadangal (Jharkhand) coal block allocation scam case.
Former Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda, ex-Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayan Rao and ex-Coal Secretary H C Gupta also charged''by CBI. The accused have been charge sheeted for alleged offences of criminal conspiracy, cheating and under provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act.
ED identified properties of Dasari owned Saubhagya Media Limited which had quid pro quo benefit from JSW group of Naveen Jindal who allegedly transferred Rs 2.25 crore in lieu allocation of Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block to the JSPL.
