His father and father-in-law are legends. His guru is another legend. Now his junior is also reaching pinnacles in Telugu industry. But still he finds it tough to score. As his new film "Kundanapu Bomma" is readying for release, meet Vara Mullapadi now.

Son of legendary writer Mullapudi Venkata Ramana, Vara Mullapudi debuted into films as director with Jr NTR's "Na Alludu". Many blamed him for missing out Bapu-Ramana artistry in the film. Did we say Vara is son-in-law of Bapu? He married Bapu's daughter Aruna. After NTR's disaster, he made "Visakha Express" which saw another failure. This time, he got blamed for missing his guru's mark too. Yes, Vara learned the nuances of filmmaking from none other than K Raghavendra Rao, while Rajamouli is his junior there. With so many biggies around, surely Vara Mullapudi is one unlucky guy around failing to score.

However, Vara loves ad-film making and he shoots ads related to some US based companies here in India. Still, he needs to carry the legacy of both Bapu and Ramana forward in film industry. Wish his latest film opens gates to such success.
