The dispute between the two rival panels of Movie Artistes' Association (MAA) seems not yet settled. Even after the elections were concluded and Rajendra Prasad took over the reigns of MAA, the gap between the actors is conspicuous, visible. The latest controversy brewing is new MAA president Rajend Prasad's meeting with Telangana Chief Minister KCR. As Rajendra Prasad met KCR on Monday and asked his support for MAA, joint secretary Naresh finds fault with Rajendra Prasad. Vijaya Naresh of Jayasudha panel is upset with Rajendra Prasad as he neither informed the other members nor invited them along with him.
Naresh hits out, "The future of MAA is at stake going by the way the new MAA president (Rajendra Prasad) is behaving. He didn't take other members of the association into consideration when he met KCR. If it's personal visit, you may not inform us. But when you're elected in a prestigious association like MAA, you shouldn't act as a single person."
Naresh also pointed out Rajendra Prasad's meeting with actor Chiranjeevi alone. "I'm not against Chiranjeevi garu as we're family friends. But my question is why did he meet Chiranjeevi alone? There're many other senior actors like Krishna, Mohan Babu, Murali Mohan and others. What kind of message is he sending by meeting Chiranjeevi alone?," added Naresh expressing his doubts over the future functioning of MAA.
"Yes we did accuse each other before elections. But once they're done, we should all work together. Whereas Rajendra Prasad is acting as if this is one-man show. It's an insult all the 700 members of MAA," said Naresh.
