"Killing Veerappan" is yet another project announced by Ramu, which lingers around the story of a police officer who chased down Veerappan before his bullet laid the draconian smuggler to a permanently rest. To bring more authenticity to his story, the Rangeela director is meeting Veerappan's wife Muthulakshmi. "Already Varma met me in 2007, and he is meeting me again to request my presence at the international press meet of the movie. I've shared many details about my husband and will continue to do so", Muthulakshmi said. This is not Varma's first dabbling with such powerful wives.
Before filming his Raktacharitra, Ramu met slain factionist and TDP leader Paritala Ravi's wife Sunitha, and the convicted in Paritala's killing Maddelacheruvu Suri's wife Gangula Bhanumathi. Varma knows how to create best attention for his films by creating an authentic look for the story with these meetings. Still, those films are not doing well at box office.
