This news may be shocking and disappointing to the fans of Ajith, Vijay, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan as their films release is restricted. As per the latest reports, the Tamil Film Producer Council (TFPC) has imposed restrictions on Big budget releases, allowing them to release only on 10 days in a year.
TFPC said that the movies of Ajith, Vijay, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will be released only on Pongal, Republic Day, Tamil New Year Day, May Day, Ganesh Chathurthi, Independence Day, Diwali, Vijayadasami, Ramzan, and Christmas.
As per the latest rule, any film made with the budget of Rs 15 Crore or above will have to release on the mentioned days. TFPC has taken this decision to increase the investment of small budget films.
This decision will help the small budget film producers, who have struggled to release their film in theaters.
However, the latest decision might affect the big stars, but middle-level heroes will benefit big time as there are chances of producers spending above ₹15 Crore and hiding the original budget.
