Actor Surya completed 18 years in his career ! The actor started his career in 1997 with the movie 'Nerukku Ner'. In these 18 years, he has evolved as a producer, TV host, a philanthropist. He married his co-star Jyothika by September 11, 2006 after falling in love with her. The couple is blessed with two kids namely Divya and Dev.
Some of the renowned movies in his career are, 'Nandha', 'Mounam Pesiyadhe', ''Pithamagan', 'Perazhagan', 'Aayudha Ezhuthu', 'Ghajini', 'Sillunu Oru Kaadhal', 'Vaaranam Aayiram', 'Ayan', 'Singam', '7am Arivu', 'Maatraan', 'Singam 2'. In each movie he shaped himself in various roles.
Apart from being an actor, he also indulges in lots of philanthropic deeds. He has his own trust foundation and he helps lots of poor kids for their education. He also stresses the importance of education to kids these days. He even hosted a reality TV show 'Neengalum Velalaam Oru Kodi'.
