Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Puli was released on October 1st after facing the last minute legal issues. This movie did a decent business on its opening day and its second day.
On its first day, Puli collected Rs 10.75 Crore at the Chennai box office and on its second day, it collected Rs 7.50 Crore. Here is the box office report of Vijay’s Puli first weekend in Chennai:
1st day collections: Rs 10.75 Crore
2nd day collections: Rs 7.50 Crore
3rd day collections: Rs 6.30 Crore
4th day collections: Rs 7 Crore
However, these are expected collections and the official figure is yet to be out. Puli witnessed fantastic response for advance booking and it witnessed nearly 70% occupancy in Chennai. This movie is doing a good business in overseas also. The Telugu and Hindi versions did not receive much response from the audiences.
