Actor Navdeep is gearing up to make his Bollywood debut in Emraan Hasmi's upcomig film Azhar. The film which is a biopic on former Indian cricket team skipper Mohammad Azharduddin will see Navdeep as the love interest of actress Lara Dutta. Navdeep's role has a lot of significance in the film and also comes at a very crucial phase. Although the makers have auditoned a lot of actors for the role, finally they have settled in for Navdeep, says sources.
Navdeep made his acting debut in 2004 with director Teja's romantic entertainer Jai. He went onto act in about 30 films in Telugu and Tamil and his last outing is Lakshmi Manchu's Dongaata. Navdeep is expected to join the sets of Azhar from next week onwards. Currently, the shooting of the film is progressing at rapid pace in Hyderabad. Ekta Kapoor is producing the film which is poised for release on May 13, 2016.
Navdeep is hoping that this film will put an end to his flop streak and fetch him more offers in South and Bollywood.
