Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi (BGUS) raised objections on Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan starrer ‘Gopala Gopala’ film. They have requested the censor board to stop the release of the movie.
Shooting part of this film is under progress and the makers are planning to release the movie for Sankranti. However, Gopala Gopala unit received a threat from an unexpected quarters.
When we asked producer Suresh Babu about the issue, he said, “Our Film doesn’t hurt any religious sentiments. Gopala Gopala is a remake of ‘Oh My God’ and the Hindi version got censored without any objections. I’m a religious person and I have watched the film. We haven’t added anything extra to the script of ‘Oh My God’”.
A section of media started to speculate that the makers of ‘Gopala Gopala are ready to show the film for the religious groups. Speaking about this, Suresh Babu said, “I’m not aware of this development. If there is any sort of news about this issue, we will let the media first”.
Gopala Gopala has Victory Venkatesh and Powerstar Pawan Kalyan in the lead roles and Shriya Saran is the heroine. Anup Rubens has composed the music and Kishore Pardasani is the director.
