What is said to be a shocking incident for the whole country, a Model was gang-raped inside a Police Station in Mumbai recently. The incident became public very late.
As per the reports, a 29-year-old Mumbai Model came to a 5-Star Hotel in Mumbai to attend an Audition. The model and her male friend met the coordinator of the modeling agency in the hotel. The coordinator asked her to come to his room and pay Rs 3,200. But, she did not like the idea and decided to leave. The coordinator then called his friends for help. A few minutes later, 6 men including 3 Police men of Sakinaka PS and 3 civilians came to the hotel in a Police car. Cops forced her to step into their vehicle and raped her in Sakinaka Police Station in Andheri region. Later, they demanded Rs 4.5 lakh to let her go. Her friend paid the amount and taken her out of the Police Station.
The Model fled Mumbai out of fear and sent a text message to the City Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria. The Commissioner ordered for a probe about the incident.
The Mumbai Police arrested 6 persons, including 3 policemen, for allegedly raping and extorting money from the model. The Police said that the accused have been charged with rape, molestation and wrongful restraint under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. However, further investigation is under progress.
