This year is going to be huge as the festival has received 248 feature film submissions from 29 languages. The event will be a huge one this time and there will be even some World premieres.
Director Dibakar Bannerjee says,"Audiences at Jio MAMI will get a chance to watch 31 Indian films that have never been shown before in India."This year the festival is introducing a new section and has named it as 'After Dark'. This section will bring collection of Horror and Science Fiction genres. This year there will be 6 movies in this section.
This time they have announced a special interactive session where Children will learn the art of film-making from talented and eminent directors and writers. The trophy for this festival is designed by famous jewellery designer Nirav Modi.
