Just like Telangana government, so-called prominent leaders of Telangana movement also seem to be in two minds when it comes to the film industry. While they don’t seem to mind the revenue generated from the industry, they continue to look at it as an industry that is predominantly owned by Andhra people instead of Telugu people.

During a meeting held recently, Kodandaram said that he never asked the film people to vacate Hyderabad and shift base to Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, speaking in the same meeting, Allam Narayana said, “Our Telangana artistes who are like sheep must be careful of the Andhra wolves.” In fact, recently, some film industry members have even floated a separate film chamber for Telangana technicians and artistes. But is this kind of dual nature appropriate? Isn’t this a direct effort to instill differences between technicians and artistes who worked together till now? A few days back, Desapathi Srinivas warned that he would slap Puri Jagannadh.

So, who are the real wolves in this story? Aren’t these opinion generators unaware of the repercussions of such instigating statements? Film industry is a place where anyone and everyone can make a name for themselves. No one can stop another person from getting his or her due. Such leaders and opinion generators should know how the industry would be benefited if they create rift among people who have been working together for such a long time.
