Recently, we reported that a song sequence has been shot in a specially erected set that had cost the makers of Vijay and Shruti Haasan starrer Puli a whopping 5 crores. Many similarities were drawn comparing Puli to Rajamouli's Baahubali, a film which boasts gigantic sets built on a lavish budget.

Now, Charandeep, a Telugu actor popular for his villain roles in films like Billa Ranga, Thungabhadra and Vijay's Jilla, compares Puli to Baahubali and says that the Vijay's film is the Tamil equivalent to Jakkanna's Baahubali. Charandeep is now one of the most sought after actors for villain roles down south. Incidentally, Charan also played a small but crucial role in Baahubali.

Speaking to the media, the heavily built actor says that Vijay has been a pillar of strength during the shooting of Puli and that no other actor has supported him like Vijay did. The young actor is slowly spreading his wings across southern film industries and is hoping to strike big as a villain.
