Only two days ago, the soft-spoken starlet Sri Divya was in news for her stern views against liplocks and oozing glamour and skin show in her films. The actress went on to claim that she even refused a big star's film, since it required her to indulge in exposing. Now, the actress is back in news for slightly controversial remarks about Telugu films.
Speaking to a Tamil website, Sri Divya said that she prefers acting in Tamil films as they the Tamil filmmakers have been approaching her with quality scripts and with characters which have scope for her to showcase her acting prowess. Sri Divya lamented that the same is not the case with the Telugu films, where the subjects are often stale without much fizz in her characters.
While Sri Divya's comments do make some sense, it will be interesting to see how the industry people and film buffs perceive her words, following her recent controversy. In the past, Sri Divya had appeared in several performance oriented films like Manasara, Mallela Theeram and recently Varadhi. The actress is now a sought after actress in Kollywood and is slowly making her presence felt in Telugu films as well.
