Temper NTR’s Rubbled Rabhasa!
Young Tiger NTR has attended the Pataas audio launch function held on the New Year’s Day, 01 January, 2015. The star has said that hits and flops come and go; what really matters is whether we hold a good place in the hearts of people. He recollected it, as said by his grandfather and the legend NTR. Of course it is true, but the star is craving for success now like never before. He is striving hard to attain the much needed hit now. Though the actor has faced many failures from starting of his career the big blow given by Rabhasa was never seen. The film was not just a disaster but a miss in blink of an eye. The film has Tollywood darling doll Samantha and ‘Bapu Bomma’ Pranitha as female leads. It was a deadliest dud despite of having all the glam-sham. Let’s unearth the cons from the rubble of Rabhasa.
First things first, story is the real culprit behind the debacle, wonder how NTR agreed to do such a mediocre subject which is farthest from his image. A US returned graduate, NTR lands in motherland. His mother played by Jayasudha wishes him to marry her brother’s daughter i.e. Samantha. Unfortunately, both families part ways on a petty family feud abandoning the wedding plans. Our hero owes to fulfill mother’s wish. For that he joins her college. Twist in the tale is that, in his process of wooing her to marriage he comes across another lass, Pranitha who in turn falls for him.
That’s not all, we aren’t spared yet, he encounters with villiains in process of escaping Pranitha. No prizes for guessing, Jaya Prakash Reddy and Nagineedu in their brand look that has become stale now. Rest is left to audience’s predictions and get surprised or not the makers match it up exactly.
Not we, our fathers grew up watching the same kind of movie for decades together. Director just toyed with second half with nothing much to do with story. Too many characters coming with as many twists make the second half confusing.
It is humongous task for any star to bear such a heavier burden on his shoulders. However, NTR performed exceptionally well in the emotional scenes. He underplayed his image which didn’t go well with his fans though. They were also disappointed with his dance movements that don’t match up with his range.
Samantha glamorous show in a chunky role couldn’t save the film from dunking. Pranitha’s presence is icing on the cake, she shares a sizzling chemistry with NTR. Even Brahmanandam’s pollination hardly ripens the comedy. Veterans like Jayasudha and Nasser completely wasted. Though the film is high on production values still it fell short of pass marks.
Story of the film is quite routine, and has nothing new to offer. Even though the family set up, typical Jaya Prakash Reddy character and Brahmanandam’s comedy entertains you, it has now become stale, and is showcased in many movies off late.
Thaman too has nothing new to offer but remixes his own old tunes back to front, only catch being NTR crooned one.
Let’s wish NTR emerges a winner with his Temper. His stylised look and recently released teaser are promising. Waiting for the movie with fingers crossed!
