Uttama Villain star Kamal Hassan is known for his multi-talent, he is busy with the promotional works of his movie which is releasing worldwide on April 10. Speaking to the media, Kamal recalled his association with veteran directors K Viswanath and K Balachander (KB) and also how he would love to do a direct Telugu movie.
” Balachander was like a father to me..I spent more time with him than my father,” said Kamal he regards KB as his guru as well. Kamal worked in 36 films directed by KB, and the actor persuaded KB to act in Uttama Villain. KB passed away died on December 23, last year. Uttama Villain ran into a little controversy over the poster of the film, but Kamal pointed out that he has merely tried to blend two ancient Indian art forms, Onvillu and Theyyam in the film.
Touching upon Tollywood, Kamal said “I would love to do Telugu movie, but no Tollywood director is approaching me with a script,” said the actor who has done only two direct Telugu films in the last twenty years, one of which was his own production. It is really strange that no Telugu filmmaker has reached out to this gifted actor in recent years!
