While Rajamouli's most ambitious film till date, Baahubali, is nearing its completion and gearing up for a release this May, his 2012 blockbuster hit, Eega, is still continuing its dream run. Today, an elated Rajamouli revealed a thrilling news on his Facebook page.
Jakkanna said, Eega has recently been dubbed into Swahili, a language widely spoken in the East African province, and released in countries like Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Congo. The film has been titled Inzi, with a tagline 'Kisasi Cha Mwisho' (Fly- The Ultimate Revenge). This is the first ever feat achieved by a Telugu film on a global platform and it is indeed a matter of pride for the entire Telugu film industry.
Eega's tryst with foreign countires is nothing new. In the past, the film was screened and even won awards at several film festivals across the world. Eega was even dubbed and released in Chinese and was a super hit. Looking at the laurels the film has been winning for its creative genius, there is no doubt that expectations will be sky high for Baahubali even from the foreign shores. Way to go, Jakkanna!
