After a glorious career full of landmark films, eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma lost his magic touch with an incessant string of silly and third grade films. The maverick maker is now coming up with 365 Days, an out and out romantic drama for the first time in his career. The film’s trailer has been launched yesterday and it immediately raised
several eyebrows.
The trailer of 365 Days comes with a tagline “Before Marriage – After Marriage”. In the trailer, it is evident that RGV is discussing the love lives of a young couple within 365 days before and after their marriage. With RGV’s typical voice-over, the plot is more evident that the couple’s love for each other vanishes after living together. Interestingly, Mani Ratnam’s Sakhi also dealt with the similar plot and he even mentioned the same point in many of his interviews.
This made people think if RGV is indeed inspired from his good friend Mani Ratnam. Film buffs and fans of both the genius directors are now curious to see how differently RGV treated his film. RGV and Mani Ratnam earlier teamed up for Gaayam and Donga Donga. They also joined forces to produce Shah Rukh Khan’s Dil Se.
