The star cast of Telugu remake of the 2012 Tamil film Sundarapandian looks set to get a major fillip soon. It is learnt that the filmmakers have got a 'nod' from actress Tamannaah. "Tamannaah liked the script and expressed interest to be part of the movie. Discussions are on and the actress could soon come on board," says a source in the film's unit. Bheemaneni Srinivas Rao is directing the movie featuring Bellamkonda Srinivas as the protagonist.
Tamannaah had signed up to be cast opposite Srinivas in an action drama directed by Boyapati Srinu. But looks like that Tamannah would start shooting for this film first. "The pre-production work of the film is on and if everything falls in place, it could hit the floors in April," adds the source.
Meanwhile director Bheemaneni Srinivas is giving final touches to the script of the Telugu version of Sundarapandian. The Telugu version will be quite different from the original. Srinivas has made quite a few changes to the story," adds the source.
The film was earlier remade in Kannada as Rajahuli in 2013, starring Yash and Meghana Raj.
