Lingusamy shot into the limelight in Tamil with the success of Vishal starrer, 'Sandakozhi'. The movie which was dubbed in Telugu as ‘Pandem Kodi’ was also received well and created a market for Vishal in Tollywood too. Impressed by Pandem Kodi, Pawan Kalyan reportedly gave dates to Lingusamy to a movie that was supposed to be produced by AM Rathnam. In the meantime, Lingusamy made another film, ‘Bhima’ with Vikram. The movie was a disaster and buyers did not get back even the money they spent for its wall posters.
This resulted in Pawan’s movie with Lingusamy being shelved. However, Lingusamy did not lose heart. He again made some more films that turned out to be hits and established him firmly in Tamil. Those films were remade successfully in Telugu also. In fact, he is now one of the producers of ‘Uttama Villain’ along with Kamal Haasan. Industry sources say that Allu Arjun is now keen on working with Lingusamy.
Finished with ‘S/O Satyamurthy’, Allu Arjun will start shooting for his next film in the direction of Boyapati Srinu. Industry sources say that his film with Lingusamy can either happen parallel or after the project with Boyapati is over. If everything goes according to plan, he will be making his debut in Tollywood also.
