While Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ok Kadhal Kanmani’ is raking good box-office collections for its Tamil Version in Tamil Nadu, the Telugu version ‘Ok Bangaram’ didn’t open to good collections despite good reviews and opening talk on the film. The reason for the poor collections is now attributed to the ’14-member producer’s panel’ which decided to promote Telugu films only on two Telugu channels.

Another film which was badly affected by the panel’s new rules is Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Dohchay, poor promotions limiting only to 2 channels aka NTV/Vanitha and TV9/TV1 gave very poor opening collections for Chaitu’s movie. After the outcome of these two films’ revenue, now the producers are literally angry on the producer panel’s decision.

A slow but steady voice is raised and questioning against the producer’s panel of which Dil Raju is the most prominent producer. Many big producers like Nagarjuna, Bandla Ganesh, Daggubati Suresh, Allu Arvind and others are disassociating with the newly-formed panel’s decision.

Huge money, hundreds of crores are at stake in the coming days with big films like ‘Baahubali’, ‘Rudramadevi’, ‘Lion’ and ‘Kick 2′ ready for release. Hence many big names are fuming on Dil Raju’s panel and they are not willing to recognise this outfit when they have a ‘Producers Guild’ which dismissed the idea of the panel. Seems the ’14-member producers panel’ will go into oblivion very soon.
