The rumors were rife that Ram Charan had rejected Mani Ratnam's offer to act in OK Bangaram. According to those reports, that is how the project went in to Dulquer Salmaan's hand.
Since the movie released on Friday and ended up as a massive hit, the discussions were brisk that Charan has committed a great mistake by turning down the offer by legendary director. However, the facts are away from the reports.
In reality, Mani Ratnam did not really offer OK Bangaram to Ram Charan, said sources close to Mega Power Star. The script that was narrated to Ram Charan is a multi-starrer, which was supposed to be with Ram Charan and Megastar Chiranjeevi.
But Chiranjeevi has politely turned it down since he felt it does not suit the sensibilities of Telugu audience. Later, the story got a nod from Dulquer and his superstar father, Mammooty.
