Released 10 days ago, S/O Satyamurthy is still continuing its dream run at many screens worldwide. The holiday season and the reduced ticket prices in the US have been helping the film rake in decent figures. Families have owned the film big time and many are still waiting for their turn to watch Trivikram's sentimental family drama. However, the collections have witnessed slight drops all over and this is a concern.
S/O Satyamurthy had been sold to distributors for nearly 60 crores and the collections have just touched the 40 crore mark, still leaving with 20 more crores to be collected for breakeven. But, the postponement of Lawrence's Ganga is acting as a blessing in disguise for S/O Satyamurty.
Ganga's Tamil version, Kanchana 2, was released yesterday in Tamil to thumping response from critics and audiences alike. The film was supposed to release yesterday in Telugu but financial issues have delayed it in the last minute. With this, S/O Satyamurthy will cash big in the B and C centers, while OK Bangaram is expected to do decent business in A centers and multiplexes. We will now have to wait and see how huge S/O Satyamurthy will amass at the box office until 24th April, when Ganga and Dohchay will hit the screens.
