Unconfirmed reports had recently claimed superstar Mahesh Babu had donated Rs 1.5 crores to Heal a Child organization. The actor is known to be ambassador of the NGO that raises funds for the medical treatment of poor and sick children. However, the news of the star donating the lump sum has turned out to be a hoax.
Mahesh was supposed to attend the upcoming TANA (Telugu Association of North America) annual celebrations to be held in June. The star was invited to grace the event as chief guest. Sources claimed that Mahesh was paid Rs 1.5 crores for the same, which he had handed over to Heal a Child .
Reliable sources say, it is all a humbug. However, it was heard that Mahesh had plans to make it to the event only to raise funds for an orphanage. But the star himself is said to be upset with the false claims that he received a hefty amount in advance. Now Mahesh is believed to have declined the invitation saying he doesn’t need others’ help for a good cause.
