After a long gap, Manchu Lakshmi is back with her latest release Budugu, a psychological thriller. The film was ready to hit the screens long back but was forced to delay its release due to lack of availability of theaters and few other reasons. Despite releasing with decent buzz thanks to its splendid theatrical trailer, the film fell short of audience expectations in the theaters.
Budugu was directed by debutant Manmohan and produced by production manager turned producer, Bhaskar. Released along with couple of other films, Budugu is slowly fading out as its producers are hardly promoting the film. Even the film's leading lady, Manchu Lakshmi, is mysteriously absent from whatever little promotional events carried out by the producers.
Usually, Manchu Lakshmi is always quite vocal about her films and even promotes them quite well. However this time, the Manchu lady decided to remain tightlipped about the film and is making no noise even on social media platforms. While her silence is making everyone wonder about the box office results, since Lakshmi is the only notable star in the film, some are hoping that the lady participates in the promotional campaigns to lift the film's box office chances.
