Even after holding elections to the Movie Artistes’ Association (MAA) recently, it was still not curtains on the politics surrounding the MAA. Moreover, they are becoming more complex. It may be recalled that followers of Jayasudha and Rajendra Prasad made allegations and counter allegations during the recent MAA executive body elections.
With the conclusion of elections, everybody felt that the playing of politics came to a full stop.
The politics took a different turn with the MAA Joint Secretary Naresh objecting to Rajendraprasad calling on Mega Star Chiranjeevi in his status at the MAA President.
The senior actor was incensed at Rajendraprasad singly calling on Chiranjeevi without giving even the slightest hint to the office-bearers. Rajendraprasad also called on Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao. Naresh felt these gestures tantamount to insulting 700-member strong Association.
Finding fault with the style of functioning of Rajendraprasad, Naresh was apprehensive over the future of the MAA if the same trend were to continue.
Even though Naresh’s panel tasted defeat in the association elections, the election fever still did not subside in Naresh. How Rajendraprasad is going to respond on Naresh’s allegations to be seen.
