Vijay, who created many records with 'Kaththi', is currently acting in the direction of Chimbudevan in a film titled 'Puli'. This film is being shot simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The team has not released the first look or stills of the film yet.
The film has been shot in beautiful locations of Kerala and Tamil Nadu till now and the team has now shifted to Talakona forest in Tamil Nadu. There is no road facility in the forest. So, the team has built wooden bridges and roads for the shooting spot. About 200 carpenters, 100 moulders, 50 welders have worked for nearly 100 days and erected a huge set which looks like a real village.
Hero's introduction song is being shot in this set. Vijay, Shruti Haasan, Prabhu, Thambi Ramayya, Satyan, Junior Balayya etc will shoot for the song. Sridhar Master is the choreographer. About 300 junior artists and 200 dancers will shoot for the song. The set costs around 5.25 crores and the budget of the film is around 118 crores. The team has worked for 115 days and the team will shot for another 25 days in India. The team is also planning a 15 days foreign schedule.
Sridevi is playing an important role in this film, which has Vijay, Shruti Haasan and Hansika in the leads.
