Anushka Shetty-starrer 'Rudhramadevi' is the story of a Kakatiya warrior queen. But the movie is more romantic drama centric one, according to the director Gunasekhar. The movie has A-list starcast like Allu Arjun, Krishnam Raju, Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj, Adithya Menon, Nitya Menen, Baba Sehgal and Catherine Tresa.
The movie's budget is Rs 70 crores and is said to have one of the best visual display.
Gunasekhar said "Though this is the story of the warrior queen Rudhramadevi; it should not be confused as a war film. There's enough romance in the film to appeal to all types of audiences. It's not entirely a war film, The Kakatiya dynasty has been recreated with great difficulty. I'm sure audiences are going to love the experience of going back in time. It will be a visual extravaganza for them".
The director added "The post-production work is in full swing. Illayaraja sir is busy with the re-recording in London. He is expected to complete in the next couple of weeks. We are expecting to release in May. The date is yet to be locked,". The movie is set to release in May.
