Women empowerment is not about having sex outside marriage and maintaining a physique, size zero or obese. Many feminist are of the opinion that spicy heroine Deepika Padukone missed the root point by miles. As her latest video "My Choice" is being virally shared, which we have reported already, it is also being vividly dissected now.
"I'll have sex before marriage, outside marriage or no sex at all.. that's My Choice", says Deepika in the video, which is now getting condemned by many women. Hot heroines like Sonakshi Sinha and Nimrat Kaur openly stated that this video is giving wrong message about woman empowerment. "If a woman says that having sex outside marriage is 'my choice', then by all means a man will repeat the same thing in the name of gender equality", an observer comments. Empowerment should be about equality, education and opportunities but not about body size, wearing clothes and extramarital affairs.
Some high-octane critics made fun of the "My Choice" video by asking Deepika Padukone directly, whether she will accept her boy friend having sex with someone and say 'my choice'? Jokes apart, Deepika's intention is great but the concept isn't convincing about the video. However, we have to blame director Homi Adjania and writers, but not the actor. Isn't it?
