Flying High
After his successful stint in Kollywood and Bollywood, Dhanush seems to have set his eyes on Hollywood. If latest reports are to be believed, the Shamitabh star has been in discussions with the renowned French-Iranian filmmaker, Marjane Satrapi. The two are in talks for a film an adaptation of the bestselling English novel “The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe” with the same name.
Oscar nominated director herself has revealed this news at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. Her directorial animation film, Persepolis, was nominated for the Best Animated feature at the 80th Academy Awards. She is looking forward to team up with Dhanush now and he is expected to play the lead role in the film.
The story is about a con’s adventurous journey from New Delhi to France. It also will have a love story with a Persian lady and he gets expelled for that. International acclaim with phenomenal success of his song, Kolaveri Di, is being attributed as reason for director’s choice to rope in Dhanush for the role.
