Only yesterday we reported that the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is mulling over setting up a chain of multiplexes and other entertainment avenues across the state. According to the latest reports, media baron and legendary publisher and film producer, Ramoji Rao, is coming up with a chain of mini theaters.
Ramoji Rao is currently working out on the strategies to construct several mini theaters in both Andhra and Telangana. Apparently, he had also met with the top league producers in Tollywood and sought their help in this regard. Interestingly, most of these theaters will boast very limited capacity of 200-300 seats.
While the exact strategy behind Ramoji Rao turning an exhibitor by setting up mini theaters is unclear at the moment, it is also not sure whether he will affiliate his chain along with the AP government's plans. We will have wait until the news is made official.
