Mani Ratnam is more like a mentor to Madhavan and it was with his romantic entertainer 'Sakhi' this chocolate boy got introduced as Hero. Post the success of 'Sakhi', Madhavan has sent an email thanking the acclaimed filmmaker and here is his reaction...

That's the kind of person Mani Ratnam has always been!!! Madhavan who have high regard for Mani declares he is the only filmmaker in the country to have mastered multiple genres and someone who raises to the peaks after every bad fall. 'Ok Bangaram' itself is a proof!!!
Nothing much has been happening for Madhavan since the past 3 years. He now pins all his hopes on 'Tanu Weds Manu 2' which is releasing soon.
