Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited 18 Countries in the first year of his tenure making him the most traveled Prime Minister in an year. Modi spent 55 days abroad as a part of these trips. His first foreign destination was Bhutan while South Korea is the last.
Some of his important foreign visits include the United States of America, Japan, China, Germany and Sri Lanka. Modi also happened to visit Nepal twice in this year. While his critics will bash him for spending more time of foreign soils, experts say this is the best foreign policy adopted by India over decades.
Narendra Modi’s foreign trips were aimed at strengthening the relations with neighbours and promoting Make in India campaign. India’s prompt help to Nepal during the devastating Earth Quake was also the success of Modi for keeping the nation in the good books of the neighbors.
