In no world, choreographer Raghava Lawrence's dancing skills or his choreography abilities could be questioned. But after he took director's cap on his head, there are some crappy movies that tested patience of audiences and burned pockets of producers.
Films like Nagarjuna's Don and Prabhas' Rebel are epic examples of Lawrence master's sycophancy towards beaten to death stories and mindless action stunts. Over the top punch dialogues and over the board skin show of heroines like Anushka and Tamanna failed to save those movies. Regarding 'Rebel', our dance master faced some legal troubles too as producers lodged a complaint for the director over shooting the budget with his extraordinary creativity.
To answer all that criticism, Lawrence opted back to his favourite genre of horror and is coming today with 'Ganga'. Only if this film turns a big hit like in Kollywood, then he might breathe some oxygen from the criticism engulfing him.
