Puri Jagannadh is finally the lucky director to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi in his historical 150th film. Many directors lined up at Chiranjeevi's doorstep to get the chance, but finally Puri is the chosen one. The ace director reveals the story behind his selection in an interview. Here are some excerpts from that interview.
"I directed Amitabh Bachchan five years ago in Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap. Big B came to the Premiere in Hyderabad. He personally convinced Chiranjeevi to come back to films and even recommended me as the director of that project. Later Chiranjeevi became busy with politics and me with my projects. Few days ago, Chiranjeevi called me and asked to come over to his office. He had a list of directors names on a paper with my name is highlighted in it. He said he had finalized me as the director of his 150th project. He always believed my talent. He also gave a chance to direct his son's debut film and now this prestigious film"
