Right now the topic of discussion in Film Nagar is about the production costs of Kick 2. The film is directed by Surender Reddy and it is being produced by Kalyan Ram.
Talk is that the makers have invested quite some money on the film and a figure of Rs 40 crores is being quoted.
And given the situation in Tollywood, no film is managing to get collections beyond the first weekend. If a film is made with Rs 40 crores, recovering the money has become more or less impossible.
Instead, if a film is made with Rs 20 or Rs 30 crores, then the chances of it making money are quite high.
Even if a film is declared as a big hit, Rs 40 crores has become a huge milestone for films. So it remains to be seen how Kick 2 will fare at the box office.
