It's all official. Actor Sudheer Babu has confirmed the news that he'll be reprising the role of Badminton ace Pullela Gopichand in the latter's biopic. Sudheer who himself is professional Badminton player has been interested to do a film on badminton backdrop but little did he know that a great offer to play Pullela Gopichand on screen would fall into his lap so early in his filmy career. Corroborating the news, Sudheer says, "Yes, I'm going to play Badminton player Gopichand in his biopic. The film's script is ready and it features Gopichand's life, crucial incidents in his life, turning point in his career, his compromises for career and about his family."
However, what's stopping Sudheer is that he's looking for a right producer to produce this film. "The film is not a complete commercial film. Yet it should reach a wide range of audiences. We're hunting for a right producer to produce the film," adds Sudheer Babu. National Award-winning director Praveen Sattaru will be wielding the megaphone. Although initially there were rumours that Mahesh Babu would be seen as Gopichand, Sudheer had denied those rumours.
If all goes well, this yet-to-be-titled film will go onto floors in the coming year.
