Addressing a press conference here today, Bharadwaja, known for his caustic remarks at wrong doers in the industry, said it is not good for some producers to launch private companies and influence releasing of advertisements to TV channels.
"Their decision to release advertisements to two TV channels only is not correct. In fact, producers' council can only decide the tariff for advertisements but can never order the producers to release advertisements to some particular TV channels only" he asserted.
It is the prerogative of the producer of a movie to decide on the quantum of advertisements and the TV channels to which the advertisements could be released, he fumed, expressing his objections.
He was referring to some members of the Film Producers'Council, who have launched a private firm and are asking the producers to release advertisements to two TV channels through that firm.
This is nothing but destroying the Producers' Council, he averred.
